The Department of Chemistry discussed a scientific research study entitled \u201cThe Effect of the Question Network Strategy on Chemistry Achievement and Innovative Thinking among Second-Grade Middle School Students.\u201d The study was conducted by Hassan Hadi Abdul-Kadhim Farhan under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Afrah Yassin Mohammed, Ph.D. in Chemistry Teaching Methods.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The research aims to investigate the effect of employing the Question Network Strategy on improving students\u2019 achievement in chemistry and to examine its role in developing innovative thinking among second-grade middle school students. The study reflects the importance of adopting modern teaching strategies that place students at the center of the learning process and encourage them to think, analyze, and generate new ideas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The significance of the research lies in its focus on utilizing contemporary educational strategies in chemistry instruction, thereby contributing to the development of teaching practices and the improvement of students\u2019 academic achievement, while also fostering their intellectual and creative abilities as essential components of effective learning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The discussion committee consisted of Professor Dr. Ihsan Alawi Nasser as Chair, Professor Dr. Hassan Taqi Taha as a Member, Lecturer Dr. Anwar Abbas Mohammed as a Member, and Assistant Professor Dr. Afrah Yassin Mohammed as Supervisor and Member.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The study forms part of broader academic efforts to advance science teaching methodologies, particularly in chemistry education, by adopting instructional strategies that encourage student participation, critical engagement, and idea generation in line with the requirements of modern education.<\/strong><\/p>\n
