
As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening scientific cooperation and advancing technological capabilities, the College of Education for Pure Sciences (Ibn Al-Haitham) welcomed a delegation from the Computer Corps Directorate / Computer Corps School of the Ministry of Defense. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Firas Abdulhameed Abdul Latif, along with the Head of the Computer Science Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Haifa Jassim Mohsen, and Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Ziyad Akef.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues for enhancing scientific collaboration and exchanging expertise in the fields of Information Technology and Cybersecurity. Discussions also addressed the possibility of implementing joint training programs and specialized workshops aimed at improving professional competencies, developing technical skills, and keeping pace with the latest technological advancements in these rapidly evolving fields.
Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and state organizations as a key driver for scientific progress, national capacity building, and sustainable development. Such collaboration is expected to create broader opportunities for joint initiatives in areas of mutual interest while contributing to the advancement of secure digital environments and the enhancement of educational and professional excellence.
