Our college organized the “Chemistry Olympiad” competition for high school students in cooperation with the American Chemists Society / Iraq chapter with the participation of five secondary schools for boys and girls for scientific competition between them.

This competition aims to strengthen the frameworks of scientific and educational cooperation between our college and educational and scientific institutions on the one hand, and develop the scientific capabilities of secondary school students by supervising competitions, debates and scientific activities that emphasize strengthening the role and position of the college in society scientifically and educationally.

The reception of the participating schools began with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the College (Professor Firas Abdul Hameed Abdul Lateef) and a speech of faculty in Department of Chemistry, the head of the chapter of the association in Iraq (Professor Taghreed Hashim Al Nour).

Five secondary schools for boys and girls participated in the competition:

Talented High School / Najaf Al-Ashraf.

Baghdad College Secondary School for Boys / Baghdad.

Al-Muthanna Secondary School for Girls

Al-Reyada Secondary School for Girls

Al-Ibdaa Secondary School for Girls

The competition included a written test for 6 students from each school where the questions corrected by faculty of the Chemistry Department
